The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, more commonly known as the library on 5th Ave in NYC, opened to the public in 1911. A magnificent example of the Beaux-Arts style of architecture, the library symbolises the ideal of free and open access to knowledge.  Coming down the main staircase and heading towards the exit I noticed this beautiful light from one of the windows at the end of a corridor. Just as I was about to turn away three people came out of a room and walked towards the end of the corridor, one raising her fist as she explained something to her friends. The framing of the people in the light coming through the window made it too good not to take.
